Lady Godiva

This painting is by John Collier, the English Pre-Raphaelite artist. It is of Lady Godiva, an eleventh century Anglo Saxon noblewoman. Legend says that she rode naked through the streets of Coventry as a protest against the heavy taxes imposed on the local populace by her husband, the local lord. 

The lovely Frida

The book that this image is from is one of the favourite books that we own. Each page is a joy.

Piccolino

We had a delicious breakfast today at a cafe called Lantana in Fitzrovia. It was a real treat and to top it all, the coffee was superb! This is a piccolino. Perfect!!

Who loves tortilla? This one was delicious. 

Warm for dinner with salad, crusty bread and olive oil. There was just a little leftover for breakfast, ...Oh so good!
