Tudor portraits at the National Portrait Gallery

We went to the National Portrait Gallery to see the Irving Penn exhibition and ended up in the Tudor Gallery. It was such a lovely surprise. The paintings are absolutely exquisite. The detail, the colours, the amazing styling. Definitely worth a visit.

Hana Vojáčková: Red Balloon 86

In 2009 Hana Vojackova gained extremely rare access to the Chernobyl exclusion zone. One of only a handful of people able to enter. This exhibition is her personal response to the experience. A very moving series of photographs and video installations. Read more about it here. Showing from the 12th until the 21st of March at 11 Mansfield Street W1. Check here for opening hours.
