This is what we're listening to...

We can't stop listening to Sky FM/Bossa Nova Jazz while we're working. It's such a great radio station!

A Cherokee Legend.

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.

"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person too."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Found at Nearness of distance.

The Nivaldo of wood!

This is Andrea Brugi. Artist, designer, craftsman. All his work is made by hand. From tiny salt jars, to dining tables. Rustic, but elegant at the same time. We love his work, it feels very Nivaldo. He even collects old tools like Nivaldo does. Kindred spirits! See more of his work at andreabrugi.com Found through Le Voyage Creatif.

A Nivaldo bag put to a new use.

We just received this picture from one of our lovely clients in New York. It is his new puppy sitting in our Madagascar leather shopper. We didn't design this bag with puppies in mind, but we're very happy to see that it really is a multifunctional bag! Thank you Raimund.

Frida Kahlo

We've just ordered this book. It looks fascinating. It's filled with photos that were found only a few years ago in storerooms in The Blue House, Frida Kahlo's family home, which is now a museum. These were photos collected by Kahlo throughout her life. Can't wait to receive it. See here.
