Swedish Hasbeens
I love these clog boots from Hasbeens. In fact I love clogs. Nivaldo says that he used to make them in the 70's and I'm trying to convince him to make me some. in the meantime these are lovely, don't you think?

Lassco
This week we went to Lassco, which is an amazing architectural salvage centre in Vauxhall. It's a real treasure trove where you can find fireplaces, bathrooms, flooring, lights, so many wonderful things. it's really worth a visit if you're looking for something special for your house. There's also a lovely little cafe where we had a really good coffee and honestly the best croissants that we've tasted in a long time.

Do you know Willy Rizzo?
We only just discovered him. During our move (which is why we've been away for a while), we came across a coffee table designed by Willy Rizzo and fell completely in love with it. Before buying it, we looked him up and saw all the great work that he'd done. Starting as a photographer in the sixties, when he photographed so many interesting people, he then went on to design the coolest furniture in the seventies, eventually returning to photography. His furniture designs really sum up the coolness of an era. We now have a very slick coffee table in black edged with brass, which opens up into a drinks cabinet!

Monmouth Coffee Company
Monmouth Coffee Company is family run business with real integrity, a huge amount of style, great atmosphere and of course the most wonderful coffee. The shop in Borough market is always a treat, busy, bustling and spilling on to the street.
The shop on Maltby Street in Bermondsey is really special. During the week it's their production and training site, but on Saturday mornings they open for coffee. It's a bit of a well kept secret, but really worth the visit. They're joined by other food producers selling their produce. (Ask them to tell you where to go for the special home made beer, mozzarella and salami. It's around the corner and you wouldn't find it if you didn't know it was there.) There's nothing much else there, but it's a really nice thing to do on a Saturday morning.
